Since releasing the BLUE, YELLOW and RED albums between 2011 and 2013, a faint idea of a GREEN album has been lurking in the back of my mind. It had to be something organic, with emphasis on acoustic instruments. Growing roots, belonging to and becoming part of a certain landscape and ecosystem, and at the same time, longing for something distant and exotic.

“Habitat” is a collection of tracks which for several years have been in process, part of a quest for a sound bridging the digital with the acoustic, combining freeform play with sequenced rhythm patterns. Specific for this album is perhaps the inclusion of electric guitar, which I have always associated with conventions and therefore avoided. By opening that forbidden door I am grateful for discovering a whole new world of melodic texture.
