As often occurs, these sound sketches had been left aside in order to pursue new and more exiting ideas. In 2023 I decided to honour them some definite form and to share them with the world.

During the period 2012 – 2019 when these these ideas emerged, I lived in an old and poorly isolated house. As firewood was essential to keep warm – chopping, drying, stacking and burning wood became an important part of my everyday routine. Consequently, sound samples from sticks and logs appear explicitly on “Hibiscus, wild” but are also hidden in several other tracks.
